Link Vs. Megaman

A nice little video game flash animation.
Are those original icons for Link? I don't recall seeing sprites like that before for the Link games
at all so it was a nice quick turn of events.

Sound
The sound quality works even if the games did not match, but overall it worked for what you were trying to express and show in the games.

Interactivity
Could use a play/pause button, perhaps scene selection (not 100% necessary.) What a bonus it would be to have a link the previous episode at the end in case anyone missed it!

Style
Some over-blown eye-candy at times perhaps, it works out in the long run. But it could be over-kill if you don't mix-it-up in the next episode.

Violence
No more violent then Street Fighter, no needless gore or anything. Harmless. Therfore, no problem.

Humor
Overall it had some fairly amusing moments, the main ones being of course the chicken that saves Link (it's never really explained why, but for some anarchic comedy, it works.)

Also, the little blip about that cartoon at the end works fine. A fairly obscure choice for a joke since i don't believe everyone is familiar with it, but it worked for me. :-)

Keep it up. An impressive start!

Too Serious.

Most people seem to be into this a lot, i can see the draw, but i find it more akward then not.
Anyways, for the basic review.

Graphics:
Basic mario graphics with nice touches here and there. Looks quite Mario-y. But it's missing some Mario Characters! Where's the buzzy beetles. etc.

Sound:
Nice sound. Works well. Plus classic mario sounds. fine and done. Water music at the end is a bit out of theme.

Interactivity.
Has a play button. and a scene selection. could use a pause and play button during the show.

Style:
Now this is the part that bugs me a bit. The story is just a bit too cheezy. I mean, Mario is a kids game and you are giving it an overtly self-indulgent theme that really doesn't suit the Mario theme, making it seem a bit too queazy at times like some bad Fan Fiction for their favourite anime. Most won't follow this hear, and critizise me. But it just wasn't fun for me. Either way, it's more original but it doesn't work well as a whole.

Humor:
Not intended to be funny, but at the great lengths you are making to make this a "deep serious film", it's over-bearingness makes it amusing.

Phantasmagoria-crow responds:

I like to think I gave people the option to either look at it as a serious tragedy, or as a spoofish dramatic interpretation of what Mario could be about. But I in no way intended the series to be completely serious. Personally when I watch them, I laugh...

argh!

gotta make this review quick!

-Amusing
-Some images are kind of small, hard to figure out what's what!
-slow some things down?
-other then that. really amusing! keep it up!

Saddam Pants

A really amusing quickie!

The thing that puts it over the top is definately the drawn on smile for Bush at the end which really made me laugh, which few animations do.

Great Job!

Super Mario to the day.

A film that took probably an astonishingly long time to create and looks fine in Flash.

Graphics
Incredibly Awesome. You put your work out.

Sound
Basic Sound is delivered in quality, works well. Perhaps use more Mario Sound effects next time to make this more then just Matrix with mario?

Interactivity
It has a reply button it has a scene select. The only other thing it could use is a pause feature during the movie perhaps? that would be awesome!

Style
Extremely well done once again, but it's just a re-creating. Perhaps if it was more of a parody? For example, the ending scene is the pride and joy with it's something new and unexpected brought into it. Perhaps incorporate more parody in the new one?
The reason for that is this flaw has the problem that the two sequals to the Matrix had. They both have lots of repetitive dialouge and long over-bearing fight scenes.

Violence
Basic punching and kicking, a bit of blood if i'm not mistaken, nothing serious.

Humor
Perhaps it's just me, but i don't find it that amusing. The grand scheme needs more humor, perhaps incorporate more parody next time!

Otherwise, i'm bickering. a fine flash presentation.

Toad

One of the best animutations out there. Period.

Plus, you give the user something to do at the end with waiting for movies to load, and it's smooth, fast and original. And for one of my favourite things for the flash animutation, it even has a mild plot!

Incredibly Awesome.

Fast!

Well, on going to create a very fast animutation-esque kind of cartoon, it was well done like most all of your animations.

However, for one complaint it appears that you are having way too much re-using of characters, from your previous animations, You should mix it up a bit more! Otherwise, this is one of the funnest animutations i've seen in a bit. It's cute, keep them coming! We don't see enough from you.

Dwedit responds:

You're definatly right there, I'll try to re-use less stuff from now on. Although this one was a throwtogether, like Darkwing Duck.

Subliminal Message overload!

An mostly amusing animutation, but it tended to have some of the flaws that quite a few of them have.

Graphics
The grpahics seemed fine through out, but a constant problem with animutation is repetition we have too much of the same thing going on, especially with the multiple heads idea. Why not mix it up or use more images? it seemd a bit too much was going to really appreciate a lot of it as well, i mean, if you watch it more, it's more enjoyable.

Oh, and you seemed to enjoy the idea of drawing your own little sketches like in "Wizard Power!" it didn't work as well, but was still a nice touch.

Sound
Sound quality is good. Nice using of a sound clip at the end.

Interactivity
It's a film, but it had a pause button, a frame back, forward and a button to replay at the end. this is what all films should have at least.

Humor
It's amusing, most of the jokes don't last long enough to catch the viewer right away, remember, not everyone is going to look at all your frames of text. in each little frame. ;)

Overall, a fairl enjoyable animation which brought some new ideas in and didn't shame the genre. Keep it up.

No No Number

An overtly amusing idea which worked out fairly well in context. but not as much as previous works you've done.

The graphics were smooth and animation was fluid making it enjoyable to watch and sit through. The robot voice was fun to play with considering what it says in it's errorful context. The only thing was quite simply, it didn't have one memorable scene and the robot voice slows down the overall inane in your face type fluidity most flash animutations need.

Overall, a fun little flash that was funny, and had some fine moments.

Guns don't kill people, baseball bats do.

Wooh, fairly nice, but it has quite a disturbing plot twist at the end, i have nothing against stories not having a happy ending, but it seemed to have twerked and left and un-settling taste in my mouth.

Anywho, it was over all fairly nice, just create a bit more of a cohesive story. I like your style of drawing! Keep it up.
