Odd. Some Works. Most Doesn't.

And odd cartoon, professionally done, but all glimmer with no real inner soul in this film.

Graphics: Easily the biggest selling point in the cartoon. Some of the animation in the "Let me See You Stripped" video is professionaly done, but i wonder how it was created. They are obviously unoriginal, but are transfered well. The mix-with the other mini-toons are a mixed-bag, but nothing sloppy in their context. On a nice note, the "TV" look works nicely.

Sound: One of the akward points. The music and sound in the mini-toons work to their extent. But as a music video, Stripped is a weak song by Rammstien, as it shows the ..well..direct to translation from German to English shows how silly some lyrics by Rammstien are akward. (that television line in the song is laughable.) The problem is, it just makes the main film gimmicky and unappealing.

Interactivity: nice pause play, stop menu action buttons. Everything's nice. it's a bit akward to accsess the stripped video i find though. not as clear as it could be in the area.

Style: Lacking in this department. We have some typical cliche's. The skateboarding is interesting for a brief period, but not enough to watch the full thing. The Poop video as you stated seems out of place and gross in context. Bush on fire is silly and is a nice change of pace.

The Stripped video however, other then "nice shiny pretty animation" doesn't work. The music is lacking, the inside-joke of anime characters doesn't grab me at all, and will only grab those who are deep inside the anime cult who will rate anything with their favourite anime character inside a 10. It's just dull for anyone else. Perhaps make a broader appeal next time instead of a video that just drags on. You have the talent you guys, you can do it. :)

Humor: Some of it works. Some of it doesn't. More duds on then classy stuff here sadly.

Violence: Some, not really that much though to write home about. wooh?

Either way, you have talent and skill, just try to create something that everyone could enjoy instead of having self-indulgent anime worship films. You have the power. :)

Spork-aphone

You know, i never thought there could be a spork in my fruit bowl. But now i'll check every time.

Graphics: As usual with all your flashes, the graphics are a delight in the bouncy fun cartoonishness with trying to wow people with them to pass them off as a quality film. Great stuff here.

Sound: The only place where the film falters a bit. I sort of understand the use of the song, but as i'm sure most users have heard here, we've heard it as much as we've heard All of You Base or Badgers Badger Badgers.

Interactivity: Everything's working fine. Of course, i could ask for a pause button in case i have to rush to the bath room while the film is going, but otherwise fine. Amusing secret at the end.

Style: Classy obsurd stuff. This is why we like you.

Violence: Not a single Spork was hurt in the cartoon. A cat looked terrified though.

Overall, the referencing geek humor may be tiring some, but this worked on it's own fairly well.

Once again, don't stop a rocking.

TmsT responds:

I am making no apologies for the sound, anymore! If you don't like it because you don't like that sort of music, fine. I appreciate that we all have different musical tastes they we as individuals are entitled to.
But if any of you think that there's something wrong with this movie's soundtrack because it happens to be the same as that of another movie whose creator STOLE IT FROM THE ORIGINAL ARTIST IN THE FIRST PLACE, then I suggest you go back to listening to your Moronic Kitten and In-Sink MP3s, you retarded crackbabies. (Not you, Un-J.)

A Monkey? that's not very interesting.

A very nice flash cartoon, with some minor tweeking, could have made it a 5. here's the full review.

Graphics:
Colorful graphics, everything looks great in it.
For some mild suggestions on the side, how about changing the camera angle for some scenes. It's a fairly long time to just stare at him wanting the pie. But overall, it worked. Nice attention to deatail with the games in the background and the All Your Base joke in the end which actually brought some clevar ideas to an All Your Base parody.

Sound: My only break here, the sound level is a bit lound and makes it a bit hard to hear what characters are saying, even with a text box at the bottom. Maybe change that for the next one?
The sound doesn't seem to fit the cartoon either.
On a nice note, the Voice Acting is excellent.

Interactivity:
Nice little description at the end, and several replay buttons. maybe a pause feature? i had to rush through the bathroom halfway through y'know. ;P

Style: Very classy and cute. Nothing much more to say here, it all looks quite fab.

Violence: None unless you are partial to blueberry pies being eaten.

Humor: Quality stuff. Some jokes work better then others, but most hit home.

A very fine cartoon. Well done, and worth watching again.

A flash toon with Final Fantasy overtones.

Well, for a quick thing, this cartoon seems to have very little to with Final Fantasy VIII, except of course for the characters, who seem pasted on to keep this cartoon some life, with the final fantasy hungry newgrounds browsers.

Graphics: Some of the characters look a little akward, i think it's their eyes. I'm not trying to diminish your style, but they just look a little funny.

Sound: The voice overs sound really akward for these characters. Well, i think Irvine was kind of allright but otherwise, it seemed very odd both ways.

Style: Animation mostly works, but some stuff is just poorly done shock humor. As i said before, this just seemed like a silly idea in the first, place, but hey, it's got final fantasy characters plastered on here. So i'm sure tons of kids at newgrounds will adore it. The main reason i critique this, is that i mean, characters like Squall and Zell didn't act like they really are. Zell is far from a pervert in the game, and Squall, having trouble with a candy machine because he forgot money? very akward.

Violence
None really.

Humor: Has it's moments, such as the Mr.T poster changing in the background. but nothing else really tickeled my funny bone.

Overall, maybe if this was more of original character thing it'd get a slighty higher rating, but not much more. I'd be interested to see what you develop in the future, so keep creating these things. :)

Eugh. Stop with the trailors!

Well, you've got skill iddo i'll tell you that. But i'm sure enough have already.

But sadly, you post things that are just shameless plugs. When i'm on newgrounds, i don't want, and i'm sure others don't really want to see trailors/ADS for your upcoming projects. When you post the finished product i'll get excited but in the meantime, cut this out.

Graphics:
As i said, they are all well and nice. All the characters are looking pretty classy in flash and aren't just sprites!
On one mild complaint is that sonic's legs sometimes look a bit warbly the way he should be running. Should be moving faster, but i'm just nit-picking.

Sounds - Cheezy aor hard rocking song. It works, but it's also a bit generic for these time of things. Nice sonic-stopping effect at the end though. that clinches.

Interactivity
- yay, it's got a play button. a sort of confusing double play button to see Super Sonic. (not sure why.) And you get to see all the characters again. Fairly neat.

Style:
Sadly, it's a terrible cliche to make a video game based movie. We've all seen it done to death. On the bright side, it looks like you are not trying to give generally slick and cute characters like Sonic some "deep serious" plot line which just doesn't suit them at all. Nice touch.

Violence: None. Not one. doesn't need any. No animals were turned into robots during the making of this trailor/ad.

Humor: None, but well, we'll see what comes up in the future, shall we. then again, it was just a quick trailor.

Overall, i can't give this a terribly low rating, because you have talent and put work into this. But please, skip the trailor, and let's get straight to the show next time you upload things for us. :)

Cute Tribute: isn't too geeky or self-indulgent

This is one the better flash animations, it cute enough, without being way to over-bearing and indulgent or too predictable and cheezy

Graphics:
One of the few final fantasy sprite cartoons, which isn't a bad thing in these cartoons, but since you are using characters from all the games, it makes them balence out more. They are all recognizable to who they are in the context so that makes it work. (note: the sprite cartoon in the begining is a bit different. one of those ripping from 8-bit Theatre cartoons that have been done to death, since it was just a pre-loader, i'll let it slide.)

Sound:
Eep. Well the song might make some squirm, but after letting it go, it flows well enough.

Interactivity:
has a replay button, has a nice preloader. Basic fanfare with a bit more. Fine stuff.

Style: Once again, it's a final fantasy tribute, which has been done to death, but this one still works well enough.

Violence: Nothing really. Tonberry "Doink"ing is as gorey as this gets.

Humor: Cute humor, the songs jokes are a bit more geeky then the video itself. But, the images are fine in-jokes for Final Fantasy Junkies out there. There are tons.

Overall, popular flash cartoon that gets all the respects it deserves.

Pico Pico!

It's a shame, i really love animuations, but this one seems a bit underdone. The main fault is too much repitition and not enough interesting things happening on the screen.

Well, for an animutation, it's a mixed bag. Some new amusing characters within the cartoon, but also some overdone things. We've all seen Bush and Osama in flash cartoons done to death and they are repeated far too much or are on the screen far too long. The funnier jokes are repeated too much as well.

either way, it looks like you were just tinkering, i'd like to see what other stuff you might come out in the future, just try to mix it up a bit more. :)

Joxa responds:

SEE my later work please. its much better.

A Windy Shaker Driver

One of the best of the later animutations i've been seeing.

Graphics: For a patchwork animation, you had a lot of good ideas. The dancing works, as well as the silhouettes from the movie scene.
Everything runs smoothly, without jagged animation.

Sound: A catchy toon with a funny little secret voice snipet at the end. Very fun.

Interactvity:
I'd say it could use a play and pause button mainly because it's fun to try and see the secret messages, but having a play and pause button for easy accsess would make it even better. Plus, i'm still trying to find that second secret message. where is it?!

Style:
You've overcome one of the main problems of animutation. I'll call it the Monty Python problem in that it's just to plain wierd for some people. You've done this by making it, genuinly funny which tons of animutations aren't, as they are just excuses to have very-self indulgent video game references. Which you've kept to a sheer minimum (with the exception of Commander Keen stuff, but that's fine. :) ) Only thing holding it back is that the joke was ripped from Python, which was a "tribute" as you may say, and still one of my favourite Python gags so i'll give you that.

Violence: Nothing too serious at all. Poor Di. at least they saved her brain.

Humor: Very amusing. And My Axe!!

All in all one of my favourite animutations, if not one of my favourite animations. Don't Stop!

Super Portal Brothers

A cartoon using gaming sprites and such has been done, you have an idea for a story, which once again has been done before. Of basically characters meeting each other through some unknown power.

Graphics:
Some graphics look a bit choppy, but some scenese are nice, such as Links' over the woods scene and the Mode 6 graphics of Mario in the hovercraft thing. Some text doesn't quite fit into the speech balloons.

Humor:
Not terribly funny, although, it doesn't seem like it's trying to be. so it balaneces out.

I hope the others are improvements on this story.

Interactivity:
No scene selection? ah well. . .could use some bonus features. . .

Style:
A tried and true style. Some ideas work, sometimes it's impossible to really follow, or sadly care for the story. More or less, you seem to just want to include your favourite old snes characters into some cartoon, which is a nice tribute to yourself, all thought it gets a bit self indulgent.

Violence: Nothing to squibble here. the most violence we get is koopa stomping. nothing shocking. but that won't lower your score at all.

Read a Book

A quality animation, that's only has a few flaws back and forth, but overall is of extreme quality.

Graphics
The graphocs are awesome but their are some mild points of things i feel could be corrected.
At times, it seems their mouths don't match what they are saying, i'm not talking about when you hear people's thoughts. But when they are saying the "gibberish", it's nice too see their mouths match!
Also, i realize this probably took forever to make, but at the end during the rap (hurrah for gibberish rap), there is very little if any animation. I'm sure you just want people to pay attention to the lyrics, but their still should be at least some sort thing to look at other then words and blank screen. :-)

Sound
The music choice is excellent. The gibberish vocals sounds like it could be a language, which is impressive enough, but most faux japanese/chinese sounds a bit on the cheezy side which urks me slightly. But i'm sure that's just me and overall this is fine.

Interactivity.
I realize that this was for an english project, but for newgrounds, people will be begging for a scene selection, why not create a quick nice scene collection for them? It would work great!

Style
Smartly done, looks nice. I can't say anything bad about this right now.

Violence
None that i recall. Doesn't need any.

Humor
Very funny at times, especially the knight scene, and bat boy!
